Description: Teller Refuge sprawls out along over 4 miles of the Bitterroot River, one of Montana's premier trout streams. The Refuge is comprised of over 1,200 acres of farmland and river bottom dedicated to the conservation of western Montana's finest native riparian habitat. Whitetail deer, moose, red foxes, coyotes, porcupines, marmots, beaver, otter, muskrats and many smaller mammals enjoy a landscape managed for bio-diversity. Three species of trout lurk in our waters, which include several spring creeks where guest try their skills.
Ospreys, Canada Geese, Pileated Woodpeckers, a variety of waterfowl, pheasants, raptors, passerines and song birds call this home or migrate into a landscape responding favorably to practices designed to preserve and enhance their habitat.
Our guest services include 4 gracious and comfortable homes, several which date back to the 1860s but have been lovingly kept up over the years. Two homes are up on the main Refuge and two on the river south of the Refuge. The house runs on your schedule and is yours exclusively during your stay. Our whole effort is to make your stay as restful or productive as you require. All lodges offer complete accommodations including well furnished kitchens for our guest to have a 'do-it-yourself' type vacation, or if you like we can bring in our caterer to prepare meals on request.
Group rates are available. Our in house capacity is 1 to 26 and we network with several bed and breakfasts nearby for additional guests. Our conference room seats up to 40 or you can expand into the barn loft for gatherings up to 200.
All homes are available for a minimum of 2 nights per week. Available dates are open for general reservations after March 1st each year.
